Nero Wolfe

Last August the A&E network, for unfathomable reasons of its own, cancelled "Nero Wolfe" the television series based on Rex Stout's novels about the orchid-loving, 300 pound, gourmet genius. The series was not only careful to adhere closely to the novels, but it brought the novels to life. The production values were very high, the casting was perfect, even the incidental music was outstanding.

They have, laus sit Deo, not abandoned Nero altogether and are continuing to present the re-runs on the weekends. If you haven’t seen the series, do yourself a favor and take a look. If you have, you don’t need me to tell you.
