13 NOVEMBER

. . . .in the United States is the feast of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, the first canonized American citizen. She is considered the patroness of immigrants.

On the traditional calendar this is the feast of the 15th century Franciscan friar, St. Didacus

Today the Praemonstratensians honor St. Siardus, the Abbot of Mariengarten, who died in 1230.
